>>23207571It still doesn't make sense that Pikachu like 10 episodes before the gym was outclassed so badly that Lucario was basically teleporting around compared to him and Pikachu couldn't land a single hit. They really screwed up the way they portrayed Mega Luke when it first appeared. Pikachu getting strong enough to beat normal Luke I can buy, but not Mega Luke. The only way it made sense was to assume that Korrina not being used to actually issuing orders to Lucario is what caused him to be more sluggish in the gym battle.
