The game is not designed for people who look up the champion team before hand and design their team specifically to beat Cynthia.
I never played the originals. My first encounter with Cynthia was Pokémon White. I wasn’t ready at all for her team. She destroyed me.
In Brilliant Diamond, I did my best to not plan for her. The only precaution I took was having two ice beam Pokémon. She was a still a tough fight.
People who call Cynthia easy are doing so based on knowledge they shouldn’t have at that point in the game.
