As an adolescent or young adult, most people wouldn't just go and experiment with the same sex. Almost every peer is gonna be awfully judgemental, especially if you're a guy, and rumours spread like wildfire. So that's not an option for most people if they're bicurious.
Then later in life, people might find themselves in heterosexual relationship, but then discover their bisexuality or are occasionally still in the mood for same sex stuff if they already knew before. So what the hell are those people supposed to do, cheat on their partner?
>You have your imagination for thatOh you mean like imagining sexual acts with fictional characters? Or is the fantasy only valid when it's a real person? What about an actor playing a role, is it ok to imagine it with that character? What a stupid distinction to make. A fantasy is a fantasy, no matter if it's about a person that is real or not. Besides, a lot of people are not comfortable to with having sexual fantasies about a real person for several reasons. It can make things weird. So if you don't have a real life partner to explore those kinda things, fictional characters are perfectly fine.
Bi people don't magically become exclusively straight the moment they enter a heterosexual relationship. You're honestly a dimwit if you seriously believe so. Your sexuality is not a dating profile filler like you claim, it's part of you, whether you like it or not.
