Sandshrew
Personality: She doesn't give up very easily. Quite often you'll find yourself telling her to give it a rest. It frustrates her if she doesn't get something right the first time. She's a bit competitive. You'll catch her either coaching herself or cussing herself out. Yes, she talks to herself, and sometimes answers herself. She finds it difficult to socialize with others and you'll notice she forces herself to interact. When approaching someone, she does so with caution. There will be times where she has the desire to be alone. She gets very overwhelmed with social situations and needs to 'take a step outside'. When she isn't biting her fingernails, her hands will be shoved in her coat pockets. She traces patterns in the dirt with her foot as another anxious habit and sometimes even kicks it.
History: She grew up in a farming family of 5. Of course people needed food to survive, so their work played an important role. She helped her father grow crops and dug holes for her mother's flowerbed. She competed with her elder brothers through their work (I'm going to have better crop than you, yada yada yada) and through wrestling with them. She lived in the outer wall in the Trost district. Life was difficult. She felt that she could do something about it. Being one to not give up, although painful, she fought well to stay alive when given the injection of the Sandshrew genes. It was difficult adjusting to the ears and tail, but she found that she could help her family better with farming duties. Her nails grew longer and more tough, durable for digging. Then Maria fell. Famlies and friends were lost and land was destroyed. She took this as a sign that this was her time. She decided to join the military with the ambition of joining the Scouting Legionär. She would avenge all that was lost and protect all that remains. She would restore the faith in her people and live in peace once again.
