Aster being Zinnia's daughter doesn't make that much sense when you consider that Aster was the lorekeeper *prior* to her and Zinnia only inherited the role after Aster's death (it is said that Aster was literally the "chosen one" and she was born with the power to bond with Fug, Zinnia on the other hand is just a tryhard chuuni trying to overcompensate by collecting the 7 dragon balls)
In Pokemon Evolution we get to see Zinnia's training from a very young age, already with her Whismur, suggesting the torch had already been passed on to her (no, the woman next to Zinnia isn't Aster), in PokeSpe it was shown that Zinnia witnessed her death and her ragged cloak is the same one Aster was wearing we she died, hence why is thorned appart
It also couldn't be a miscarriage because Zinnia mentions in the actual game that she used to stargaze with Aster back in the day, so she *had* to have been born
I know this has been mentioned a lot during these leaks (and has been largely ignored) but the reality of these documents is that they were still subject to change and the final products not being identical are evidence of this
With all of this I suspect that the real reason why ORAS never gave much detail on Zinnia and her backstory was very much because they couldn't settle on the specific details, and Ohmori claiming "it was vague on purpose" was them trying to save face and since then they had changed the original vision (I also suspect that Zinnia being described as "late teen" but without settling on a number was just Nukita wanting a young girl with the sexy body pre-teens don't have, but also didn't want a hag lol)
