Ironically, one of the best times I ever had for writing consistently was on my stand-up job back when I was still doing retail. Probably something about being awake in a state of activity. If you don't have a stand-up job, try doing some chores and then write on a notepad somewhere on your feet.

The other thing is you cannot allow yourself to be hung up on it being exactly what you want. It never is, whatever scene is killing your flow you just need to write the shitty patch job of it and move on to what comes next that you've presumably already conceived in your head. Go back to the earlier scene once inspiration hits and fix it up then.

Part 4 of my Pearlshipping longfic Divinity is up

The first three chapters are a "prologue" that took place over the course of a single day almost 4 years before the rest of the story begins/takes place. Chapter 4 begins with a final insight into events of that day where Dawn's heart was utterly broken as she failed to do the one thing she set out to do that day, unknown to her that Serena had the same thing in mind.

The rest of chapter 4 is Dawn's life after the timeskip (days away from being 19) working on Profesor Rowan's ranch on the outskirts of Sandgem town, when someone comes to tell her some really bad news.

The adventure begins in earnest from here on out. The story is going to admittedly have some darker themes but I'm gonna do my best to ensure it's not edgy.

Hey I'm with you man, I was and am an Advanceshipper. It's actually weird, I got around to Pearlshipping only later since I kinda dropped off Pokemon around the VA switch and just lost track of Pokemon in general for a while. When I heard May's voice later, I couldn't believe it. Still gotta watch all of DP, hell all of AG. But I don't think I have the heart, since it seems it was after the VA switch that they started stabbing Advance.

I still think Dawn and Ash had a thing, a very deep thing. It made me happy. It made me really feel.

I feel most Advanceshippers are also Pearlshippers. Something about these two girls dynamic.
