>>50002813That fish was the first fakemon i made for these great-lakes themed mons, its based on a bowfin fish and an oniare plus some other inspiration like bessie. Bowfin fish look fucking scary in real life.
Ferinch is based on a goldenhead finch, which ended up working out well to justify it having sexual dimorphism because i had already designed Lynger with sexual dimorphism (the tails even formed a heart on accident, originally the tails where the same.) Ferinch and Lynger are based on thunderbirds and underwater panthers, which are actually supposed to be lynx, but are called panthers.
