>>52893290I'm having fun, but it's annoying being so overpowered so effortlessly. I started limiting my team lvl after the first two gyms so the NPC's could have a chance at winning. I had some real fun battles with Team Star and Arven's storyline was great, and finally fighting him and his team was so satisfying. He wiped my team out three times before I got him and I couldn't stop smiling the entire time. I just wish I didn't have to gimp myself for the majority of the game. Even now in post-game I'm capping my teams to ~lvl70. The tourney and Team Star refights are nice but it just seems so silly to not have any kind of regular trainer refight option or new game+ so my favorites aren't forever boxed away because they sweep everything.
Raid battles are janky shit and are not a replacement for actual scaled trainer battles. I hate them.
