Hometown being Ecruteak City, he always looked up to Morty. After receiving his first Pokemon and defeating the first 3 gyms, he had to challenge his idol, Morty. When he was beat by Morty's strong ghost types, he decided he wanted to train ghost types aswell. He goes on a journey through the regions searching for only the best ghost Pokemon.
