Lusamine is still a character dealing with a fanart/preference surge, so I can see your concern there. Though I would have used Elesa for comparison since she also had toe cleavage and her epithet is "Shining Beauty" whereas Lusamine looks like UB-02 "Beauty".
I can't fault Kahili too much any more than any other Elite Four of other regions. All the hints about her are there but only if you went around talking to people. Mina on the other hand seemed like a joke because Guzma somehow FAILED at being a captain and yet this girl's barely doing her job.
Might be a bit longer before the new character heat dies down but I don't think the anime is gonna make things easier.
