When it comes to the discussion of pokemon generations, the way I see it is this:

That's perfectly fine.
But if you have to go out of your way to shit on that gen's fans just to give yourself a false sense of superiority over another subset of pokemon fans, then that makes you a pompous piece of shit. And I don't care what gen we're talking about here, either. All Gen Tribalists are fucking trash because they've become so absorbed in their "tribe" that they get aggressive when others don't share the same opinions about their favorite gen as them. They'll go out of their way to attack fans of other gens and even falseflag as them just to make those fans, and subsequently their gen, look bad to everyone else. Funnily enough, Gen Tribalists will take up more of their time shitting on others rather than praising their own gen because deep down, they're too afraid to express their love for their gen here without getting persecuted for it. So, all in all:
