Gengar has been my favorite for quite a while.
He is a bit edgy while also being really cute and fun I liked the episode as a kid where Ash got to play with the ghost pokemon and liked him ever since.
The way he was taking care of the younger evolutions shows that there is love there and that the ghost line really wanted that love despite seeming a bit edgy. Even after being nerfed he always was my lead and shouldermon.
