>Nuck keeps saying Pheromosa is bad
I'm didn't think this would annoy me, but the more and more I crunch the numbers, the more it does annoy me. As you can imagine, Pheromosa is the highest non-shadow, non-mega, technically non-legendary/mythical DPS in the game; top STAB DPS if you wanna include Deoxys Attack forme.
>But isn't Pheromosa too frail to be useful?
Not exactly. Sure it's probably not gonna be doing all that much to Mewtwo, but against a Pokémon like Darkrai (where it resists its dark-type moveset) or Zarude (if it ever enters EX raids, which it definitely could given the precedents set by Regigigas and Darkrai), Pheromosa would arguably be a better version of what Shadow Banette is against Mewtwo compared to normal Gengar. Not only that, but it also should be noted that its DPS is among the ranks of Psystrike Shadow Mewtwo when it's raining.
TL;DR While it's not the more desirable bug-type for us to use, it is technically the best bug-type until Shadow Yanma, Mega Pinsir or Mega Heracross come out, and Nuck should not downplaying this cute lil' bug. Overall, it's best to think of it as an alternative/duplicate version of Mega Beedrill, but trading some TDO for DPS.
