You do realize it's been possible to battle people online on cart since Gen 4, right? There are tons of tournaments (including many official tourneys) that are played on cart. I've only played Showdown a hand full of times, personally. 99.9% of my battles have been via wifi on cart. Even in the pre gen 4 Era, there were a lot of organizations that hosted in-person on-cart tournaments. How new are you to this franchise man?
