I also had a massive epiphany on how to handle the sand problem: I'll have an event trigger that ends the sandstorm and clears up the sand, switching to pic rel map layout. not only does it create accessibility, but it promotes a feeling of progression/accomplishment. feels good to make stuff bros, even if its just a map. thanks for the advice.
that only leaves one question: should I place mounds for the sand ninjas, or leave them 100% invisible as a difficulty progression from the fallarbor soot ninjas?
