Some have joined Team Plasma, others help with Team N.>You get picked up by Team N, who upon learning you came from the past, fill you in on the current state of Unova. >Offered a starter Pokemon in exchange for helping them liberate Unova from Team Plasma's control.>Liberate sub-regions of Unova by defeating the Sage in charge, and work to rebuild the Pokedex from scratch.>Climax of the game is defeating Ghetsis, who has become immortal to forever rule Unova, and his Kyurem-Complete in N's Castle.With the game being in the future, main cities in the game would look like the Black City from Black 2.
Non-city areas are blocked off from the populace so Pokemon can live in freedom, resembling the White Forrest from White 2.
Game is far enough in the future that Pokemon get new forms/evos, but not so far that they look like Paradox forms from Violet.
