While I hate that the writers never explain Ash's weird "chosen one" skills where he can simply pull some nasty shit that makes every other trainer look like a joke (aura, battle bond, Manaphy power-up, Dusk Lucanroc, link to Azelf, you name it), I like when it's brought up, since it makes him look like something superior to what people say about him.
