If I had to meet you in the middle then I'd just recommend Altered Platinum, it's a further modification of Drayano's Renegade Platinum by Lithium that adds a ton of really strong Sinnohan forms, new shinies, revamped Gym leader teams (from types to gimmicks), and buffs to ice types. Nothing tooooo crazy, but it's quite a different experience from base Platinum. Radical Red also had new Seviian form mons of its own.
Emerald Z looks really interesting too, I might just have to give it a shot.
