I remember kids making their decks by simply throwing in all of their rare cards with foils (shit they gathered after a million booster packs) and getting absolutely annihilated by other kids with a basic Structure Deck they paid 10$.
Simply having big dick cards wasn't going to cut it if they had 0 synergy.
With pokemon, having big dick cards is enough even if they don't have a strong synergy, assuming they all share the same type/two types.
