A 'Rock Absorb' ability is a great one that gets thrown around, since the player won't find Rock types in the earlier areas. It's moveset is even easier and cleaner, since you just put real garbage early and the things that can enable it later; Constrict and Harden at level 10, Recover and Curse at level 20, Rock Polish and Rock Type Body Press at 30, et cetera.
Not to mention the BST reparations gamefreak owes the boy.
