What people care about is this new cartoon that came on TV with a bang. The colors, the characters, the attitude, the concept! It's beyond the borders of awesome, it's like a gift from heavens. You self-insert as Ash so hard, wanting your own Pikachu more than anything. Real life doesn't feel like anything anymore, you just want to live in the Pokemon world and adventure.
You ask your mom to buy all the Poke merch possible and you surround yourself with Pikachu toys.
Every night you go to bed dreaming about whatever happened in the latest episode of Pokemon, listening to the soundtrack from the first movie, which was fucking epic by the way.
You tell yourself: "I'll never abandon Pokemon. It will be the reason for my existence, now and forever".
