Ash and Brock go with Birch to the nearby port to pick Oak up, so May and Max go to Birch's lab to wait, but Oak's already there! Oak shows both May and Max the Kanto starters, and May starts bonding with the Bulbasaur wink wink. TR shenanigans has them kidnapping Oak, May and Max in their newly made secret base. And through wits and Oak wisdom they manage to escape by themselves. Another episode that shows how far our girl has come in terms of competence and bonding with Pokemon.
