>>47045086Gen 6 would have been redeemed if Gen 7 was good. The issue was more or less than Sun and Moon ended up being a step down in every way.
>b-b-b-but it was good, Kalostranny!!No, it wasn't. As shown here
>>47046949The effects of Yokai Watch hurt Gen 7 too. We know from XY that Alola was supposed to have a fully featured league, and then we also know from this interview
https://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2017/12/31/the-history-of-pokemon.aspxThat they even cut Alola's gyms in favor of doing trials as late as the debugging stage.
>>47046961Pointing out derivatives is cherrypicking? Do you really think it's a coincidence that Gen 7 was the start of the downfall with random decisions like the removal of the National Dex, the switch to a new super regional gimmick being introduced each region, the lack of the last generation's plot threads being tied up, or the game itself overall being lackluster?
You know, that's the sad thing. Gen 6 could have complimented Gen 7 in the same way Gen 5 complimented Gen 6, and 3 to 4, but it didn't. Alola will forever be doomed to be mediocre on purpose as a result of GameFreak's shitty decisions and Gen 6 as a whole will suffer for not having a proper conclusion which easily could have been solved through Alola anyway if they just cared to write Zygarde into the story and not do dumb shit like removing the PSS.
That's not cherrypicking, that's context clues.
