>>55156831I don't care what the confirmed theory is, I would have REALLY preferred if they were extremely distant past/future versions of Pokemon in the game's dimension. I think it would've been a nice way to distinct Pokemon from just being "animal equivalents" and push them back into being unique monsters with their own logic and physiology.
