Are you really trying to imply the game that had the most fully-featured Battle Tower and sidemodes in the entire series alongside a decent at worst campaign is somehow more incomplete than the games that removed:
>The National Dex>Numerous Battle Modes>The ability to track and reset EVs anywhere from the beginning of the game>Dungeons and overworld gauntlets>Online integration and multiplayer functionality that was either in the game just before on the same console or had been a part of the game since Platinum>Minigames to play with your Pokemon>The entire sense of player agency during the campaignand had nothing to show for it except starting the trend of regional gimmicks, a YW-tier ripoff companion, the fucking festival plaza, and *fades to black* cutscenes? I'm not even getting to the parts of the map and implied lore that was cut not just from SM, but USUM too!
Sit the fuck down. Gen 7 and 8 are so far removed from the traditional formula that they make LGPE look like more of a full experience-- XY deserves all the criticism it gets but under no circumstance should blind hate be directed towards it like it is when Gens 7 and 8 did nothing but double down on the mistakes and remove the good shit too.
