AV iron hands basically necessitates amoonguss or arcanine to blunt the damage output. and then of course dondozo+tatusgiri still exists and will run through teams without a proper check. checks that can go to shit if the player is smart enough and adapts from the opent team sheet (haze murkrow is frail, clear smog is shutdown by tera steel dondozo)
I've always preferred VGC because of the irl aspect and it STILL isn't as bad the as genies of healthy meta years but game freak went way too hard on power creep this gen
