Thinking normos care about the body shape of a pokemon is silly when it's been shown the eeveelutions score higher than almost every bipedal Pokemon, normos by statistics are more attracted to vaporoen than Gothielle, and even it got beat by virizon, and people associate pokemon attraction with vaporeon and the eeveelutions. Point is no one really gives a shit on how many legs a pokemon walks on because pokemon as a series doesn't. How many people in the real world care that much about apes? The same principle applies here since pokemon are closer to being animals than people so the stigma around looks is almost non-existant.
