You know what I think? I think, a lot of times, being 4x weak to something is stupid. Not always, but sometimes.
Why would a rock deal more damage to Charizard than Aerodactyl when they're both flying reptiles, and Charizard only has actual fire on the tailtip?
Why would a rock squash a Butterfree midair more effectively than an Ariados down on the ground, when being able to fly lets you follow the rock and lessen the impact, and being down on the ground traps you between the ground and the rock?
Why is it easier to drink Quagsires essence with Giga Drain than that of a Seaking, just because he's insulated from electricity or something to that effect?
Does Carbink's fairy type make it such a precious, fragile gem that an Iron Tail slashes through it's stone body more easily than Gigalith's?
Why would Mega-Sceptiles plant-like body be more susceptible to frost than regular Sceptile? It's still reptilian and cold-blooded before gaining the Dragon-type.
But most stupid of them all: Bastiodon and Aggron have rock hard bodies, that are also covered in metal plates for extra defense and durability. So why, I say WHY, do those metal plates make them EASIER to punch through with a fist, or be more easily broken down by the earth, compared to Gigalith again?
Similarly, why is it easier to melt down A-Sandslash's metal spikes than Skarmory's wings, because the spikes are covered in ice? The ice is an outer layer to the spikes that would grant an extra line of defense to the metal underneath.
Sure, I can see valid cases for some 4x weaknesses, but often, it's just dumb. Feel free to discuss. Which cases do you think are dumb, which ones are actually legit?
