You should definitely feel rewarded for raising a pokemon or getting enough points to buy a good item to earn some dosh. The problem is that in the main games you feel just as rewarded, but with less of the hassle, and you get more in the long run with the ability to make multiple eggs with the Pokemon that you earned and spent time on. I love PokeMMO and have played it since 2013 in middle school, but the breeding aspect goes against a large aspect of what Pokemon is and I will forever be against it.
