Since when any character starts with three starters? Also that Red caught Pikachu, why would it catch it again if he started with one?

Are you implying that Red is the only person in the Pokemon universe who is able to get a Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle?
There are many people with Kanto starters in Kanto and even Johto
