After that I grinded for BP for a while and built up 9999 because it turns out the highest level bracket gives out 350-800 BP per battle. I reset my in-game clock (note that I had been playing for 33:22 before the reset).
Now that my clock is lower than ten hours (to get to the ghost before ten hours pass you'd have to rush through the game with one Pokémon and ignoring every single sidequest other than the ones needed to get to her), I can see her, and she expositions me.
Suden, the region the hack takes place in, once was magical, but everything changed when a beast called the Shadow attacked. She sacrificed herself to keep it at bay, expecting to die, but she remained as a ghost.
She offers to help me, and takes the form of a Mew (a physical Mew; why was she stuck here until now if she could do that?), completing Sidequest #4.
