A - Sinnoh, Kalos

Kanto is pretty basic but it's not a bad thing, I like many locations in it. Kanto's Pokemon are also great most of the time, really good selection of Pokemon.
Johto is nicely filled with side locations and most of the routes don't require going through grass. Selection of Pokemon is alright.
Hoenn has great towns but routes are horrid and filled with annoying random encounters. There's a lot of Pokemon in Hoenn I am not fond of as well.
Sinnoh is filled with good characters and lore and the region itself is interesting (albeit exploration gets tedious after a while due to HMs and number of caves). Sinnoh's Pokemon are my favourite.
Unova has amazing towns filled with interesting elements (airports, train tracks, warehouses etc.) but the overall theme of human's development gets tiresome after a while. I love Unova's Pokedex.
Kalos gets A spot due to extremely pleasant presentation. I adore its grassy look and great soundtrack. Its pokedex is a hit and miss, I like many Pokemon but I also dislike many of them.
Alola is compact just like Johto but the routes are so boring it's not even funny. The region desperately needed more side locations. Soundtrack is good though. Alola's Pokedex has too many bad designs in it.
