>>21291897It needs the movepool boost if it wants to get in OU, I agree, but I think people underestimate fast, high-power Flying spam with nearly a 1/3 chance at confusion. I could see Mega Pidgeot being a pretty good choice against the various Fighting types of UU, not to mention the likes of Roserade and Celebi and such. Doesn't have Talonflame's priority, but it doesn't do recoil either. It would definitely appreciate new moves and I'd like to see it get something helpful, but it may well find a home for itself without making the standard tier.
Anyone who complains or laughs about Stone Edge, let alone Blizzard or Thunder, is overstating the obvious. Pidgeot has no business taking on Rock types as it is, even if it got Focus Blast it could only hope to nail them on the switch. No one uses the others except Galvantula and Hail teams, who already have accuracy and, again, aren't Pidgeot's fight.
