As for pic related, I remember I started losing interest in Pokemon around when Emerald came out. I really had no intention of keeping up with the series anymore, but then I went to a friend's house and he had Pearl. He was near the beginning of the game and had a Shinx on his team and I fell in love with it immediately. He let me play for a while, and I raised the Shinx up to its evolution level, and it wasn't until that point, where the evolution animation and Luxio's guitar riff cry played, that I decided I was officially reeled back in for good. So these guys are basically to blame for me staying with the series to this day.
I would have posted fanart instead, if I could find a single piece of art that didn't disgust me. Too bad that all Luxray fans are furry deviants.
