I'll just do my current favorite type monogym. Recently a lot of my favorite Pokemon (Mawile, Mimikyu, A-Ninetales, Altairia) ended up getting fairy type.

They're big guys with Pokemon like Bewear (hey it's pink) and Huge Power Azumarill, not necessarily limited to Fairy. If it's earlier on in the region only Mimikyu and Mawile are always on the team.

-Mawile (partner, highest level, Mega Stone if allowed, will be sent out if it can set up with Intimidate)
