I will say the first handful of episodes might make you wonder where things are going and what exactly the show is going to be about, but the intervening stuff has tons of soul. The most recent arc/episode before they took their hiatus finally hinted at what the endgame is, beyond Liko finding the secret of her pendant. It's an ensemble cast with a focus on Liko and Roy, but the other villains and Rising Volteccers are fascinating, and they've only really given us a close look at one of them. All the others are still unexplored, but I'm really looking forward to their spotlight episodes. Finally, the Pokemon that each of the main cast have are really well integrated into the plot, usually doing something fun in the background, but also they all have a purpose within how the airship operates. It's all super well put together so far.
If someone comes in and starts spouting off gibberish about Urashima Taro, ignore them. They don't know shit and they're an idiot besides.
