There's stuff I want to do that would probably be much easier to add into a new engine rather than trying to force it into a 20 year old rom (new battle mechanics, make legendary encounters more like JRPG bosses instead of false swipe -> spam ultra balls), but I like how roms can still be played on a GBA cartridge and mobile emulators. I'll look into the codebase as a starting point.
