When in a double battle, Meat Shield will allow Hambo or Harambe to intercept critical damage for their partner! The Protector Pokémon makes sure that its allies do not faint before it does.
Another new ability that can be seen with Hambo and Harambe is Bulletproof! This Hidden Ability decreases all damage from physical projectile attacks by half! Attacks like Pin Missile and Rock Throw will hardly even scratch it!
There’s a rumor circulating amongst trainers that Meat Shield will yield an even greater Defense bonus when Hambo or Harambe is joined by a “baby” Pokémon! Try accompanying them with a young partner like Happiny or Bonsly in a double or triple battle, and see what might be revealed!
