>>54263638I feel the same way in some regard, not matter how hard I try nothing seems to change, could things be worse? sure but at the same time my life isn't exactly amazing and even if by some miracle I end up well off, what then? just end up doing the same mundane things over and over it's just another cage, it's no wonder why those Japanese salary men end up jumping off the roof, it's like some form of abstract torture because even if you do well it really doesn't matter most you'll get is meaningless vanity that hangs on a wall, that's why people seek out fiction, to be something bigger or be part of something great even in a small way, that's why roleplay and fiction is popular in the first place, I believe there has to be something better then this otherwise what's even the point? some fleeting bragging rights? fuck that noise.
