If Cloyster was such a metagame defining earth rendering pokemon that gives you free easy wins for using it, then why was not such a highly skilled and respected player such as Finchinator using it? Could it be that Finchinator himself is not actually as good as he has lead us to believe, since he uses shitmons instead of the OU powerhouse Cloyster? Or is he simply such an ascended god of Showdown that his principles are so great that they prevent him from using overpowered pokemon like Cloyster, and he achieves high ELO through sheer force of willpower and savant-level analysis of the metagame and pokemon itself to win with teams of pokemon one or two tiers below OU?
