It's not a "trigger", even I think those are stupid and unnecessary. It's more of a, "seriously?" when reading them. It's such a departure from what the anime depicts, it's so brutal compared to almost every other medium Pokémon is represented in. You can have characters like N question the morality of battling, yet PokéDex entires stating that Basculin are supposedly very tasty? Or how in Kalos people eat Slowpoke Tails yet it was reprehensible in Johto? Yet despite that, Masuda states they don't eat Pokémon. It's the inconsistency that irritates me, the cognitive dissonance between the writers of the entries and the game director's vision, and it's not even that big of a deal. I'm just a nobody posting their insignificant opinion online.
