Only advantage TN has over IPS is that it's it consumes slightly less battery and has slightly less pixel delay (= ghosting, but this is like a millisecond difference and won't matter in the long run).
Pic related is TN o3DS XL on the left and IPS n3DS on the right. As you can see the colors get extremely washed out on TN.
