At least if your favorite is Donphan you can just ignore it's Paradox form and just use Donphan, since it's functionally not related.
If your favorite was Gengar, either you ignore the buffs and intentionally cripple using your favorite, or you turn it into this thing.
Megas were a mistake, way more than paradox was.
