It's my all time favorite Pokemon game, to this day. Last one that I really enjoyed. Last game where I was enthusiastic about the future of the series. It had an unbelievable amount of detail put into its world and systems. Shit like finding items in the rubble after a battle. Running into a Horde of 5 monsters at once, with rivals like Zangoose and Seviper going after each other instead of attacking you. Pokemon attacking you from the sky or from the ceiling or leaping out at you from the bushes. I was so excited for where this was going to go. As well as the obvious improvements, like the PSS for real time multiplayer, Super Training for managing stats, or the DexNav for searching and chaining better 'mons. So many good ideas came out of this Gen. I don't know where or how it developed this reputation for killing the series. Unless you care about the story.
