Sinnoh, thought it was the most perfectly balanced region in terms of urbanization/nature, also harbors some of my favorite Pokemon lines and I really appreciated the evos/pre-evos. Sucks the engine and slow battle speed held back what would have been one of the best regions easily.

Hard to say, but I'm gonna have to go with Kanto. Although I still really love it, I just love the other ones more. And it doesn't help that gens 1/2 did not age well at all.
Also, runner up for favorite would have to be 5. I appreciated that it was a soft-reboot of the series and had a lot of subtle tweaks to what was becoming an extremely formulaic series. And I don't think many would disagree that BW2 are pretty much the best games thus far.
