First first impression is that this is where the sliding timeline begins, thus rendering any future Ash progression null and void. That sucks. Second first impression is that I figured Sun and Moon was the only time Ash went on vacation with Delia and then fucked off to go on an adventure. Apparently that's just a thing he does whenever they go overseas. It's sad that Uncle Mime had to stay behind. I guess Delia hasn't granted him thigh privileges yet.
Trip seems like a tool, but I don't have much of an impression of him yet. The level five Snivy thing is a bit overblown; it seems pretty obvious that Pikachu got worn down a lot anytime it tried using an Electric attack and failed, which gives it a handicap. Also, Snivy knew Leaf Tornado; it was not level five. This will likely be the last time I stick up for Ash.
