Because of this many major businesses that are currently successful, will remain successful for years to come.
We're not going to have any major gaming advances in the near future, beyond VR there aren't many other places we can go. TV won't be replaces, phones won't be replaced, computers won't be replaced. Nothing will be lost, either. It's not like hundreds of years ago where humanity was very slowly advancing, and unable to permanently record events and information with anything other than a fragile book and word of mouth. Institutions, businesses, and many technologies could rarely exist beyond human lifetimes and lineages because of this.
Ultimately it would take a major catastrophic event to physically erase the majority of nintendo to stop any of their major IP's. You can't just erase the data, or the consumers, any other way.
