>>34687218Game Freak and Nintendo have a weird relationship. Remember the Pokémon Smash Amiibos? Every single Amiibo gets custom sprites and sounds for Mario Maker, except Pokémon ones. Game Freak gave the developers recycled sprites from Heart Gold and Soul Silver and no different sounds whatsoever. They also give generic "rewards" for every game that isn't Smash or Mario Maker, unlike Zelda/Fire Emblem/etc Amiibos that give special, specific rewards in many games.
So yeah. This isn't happening and no one really knows why.
