It just seemed appropriate since your first sentence was an innuendo which was clarified in your second sentence. Thus implying that your clarification was actually a sexual reference seemed like a the logical next step for the sake of comedy. However, you may also act intentionally oblivious to my reply so I could explain the punchline, thus ruining it, but doing so so verbosely that the fact I am ruining the joke becomes the punchline itself, which in turn is then again analyzed in this very post, crossing the line thrice.
