>>27368877This anon seems to have figured it out. I'm not against the designs themselves, but you'd think the concept art of a monster/animal design would cover a important point like this.
I mean, I'm sure Game Freak would want to make sure the models/anime depictions to look as accurate as possible, so it's only logical to assume they'd cover important parts where the chance of being off model might occur. Of course, that won't mean they're going to stuff the daylights out of a canvas, but for animators and whoever is involved, it's nice to provide just enough relevant information to assure nothing goes wrong with the designs.
